SATA SSD and case? - MikeInMass - 06-15-2021

I'd like to attach an SSD to the Quartz64 Model-A and put them in a case.

I don't see an M.2 slot mentioned, so I guess a SATA SSD is what I need?

Does the hardware follow some existing convention, so that I might be able to find some little plastic case with the openings for Ethernet and power in the right place?

The listed Quartz accessories include the RockPro64 ABS enclosure. Looking at the PDF board layouts from the Wiki, both the Quartz and RockPro have very close matching board layouts. Without the actual dimensional schematic, it is hard to be sure.

the RockPro64 case should work. The SATA port is right by the USB ports on the board (the USB 3.0 port shares with it).

there's also a PCIE x4 slot which gives you some more options, though I'm not sure about things like uboot configs to boot off of either of these.

I accidentally ordered 2 quartz 8GB models so I guess I'm going to get to know it and likely help bugtest some things.
