Remix OS - NMancuso - 01-19-2016

You said that the Remix OS will be available soon on the website once a specialized PINE64 version has been ported over. When do you think that Remix will be available for download?

Remix folks already start work on the Remix OS porting over to Pine A64 platform. My guess should be available on February timeframe. However, the Remix OS only works well on 2G board per Remix folks comment.

The porting process already started, hopefully available when we start release Pine A64 board on February. Please note that Remxi OS only runs well on 2GB RAM version board.

The 1G version board already support 64-bit Android 5.1.1. Remix folks prefer Remix OS runs on 2G board for better user experience. I have no idea whether Remix OS can run on 1G board until the OS fully ported over.

The Remix folks already deliver first image to us for testing and works. We will explore with them when able to make the public release. For sure, it is real and coming :-)

RE: Remix OS - huckfidle - 03-08-2016

There are still a lot of bugs in RemixOS. I installed the PC version to try it out and am not happy with its performance.
I am in Thailand but set up time zone for Australia and English language. But on opening the browser it is all in Thai language and I cannot find how to change it. Also the clock is showing 11 hours into the future and cannot find how to change that as I have already set the time zone. Remix support say they are inundated with requests so cannot give any feed back.
I will try it out when I get my Pine64 but don't think it will be better than Android.
The concept of Pine 64, Remix OS and Nexdock does seem a great way of having a PC/laptop just hope Remix OS improves.
