alarms do not seem to work - motox6 - 05-06-2021
When I set an alarm and my phone is otherwise asleep, it seems to wait until I wake it up to sound the alarm.
Say I set the alarm for 7:30am. At 8:00am it will be sitting their silent. When I wake it via the power button on the side it will start "alarming".
I take it that is not the intended behavior?

Following the wiki link provided by dukla2000 and then the link to the related project you end up needing to do
apt install wake-mobile
and then use that application.
