Camera clicking sound - unsatisfactory212 - 05-05-2021

So i got my pinephone on the 3 of april and i have come to realise that the rear camera on my phone makes an audible click (does not sound like its coming from the speaker) whenever i open the Megapixels camera app and i was just wondering if this is normal or if i should create a support ticket with the pinephone customer support team.

Thanks in advance for any help and sorry if this is a stupid question : )

Not a stupid question, and yes that is normal for some distros. It's the camera being powered up at boot.

Some distros open the camera from udev scripts during boot, for little reason.
