How long does the phone need to be chrarged prior to turning on the 1st time? - awsdert - 04-30-2021

Finally received it today, attempting to boot it up but despite having it on charge for at least an hour it still refuses to boot, though maybe it was expecting a micro SD card so I popped a 64GB one in, still no go, I do have a tesco sim card in there, would that cause it not to boot?

Edit: Just took out both and now it is booting

Edit 2: Still black screen with just the mouse cursor, does it really take this long to boot or did it perhaps expect something else I wasn't aware of, the booklet that came with indicates it should already have an OS via a built-in memory

Edit 3: With the help of Jumpdrive I finally got it to boot, still struggling to find the list of bootable OS's and links to their images though, someone mind pointing me in the right direction?

Edit 4: Never mind, I found the list. https://wiki.pine64.org/wiki/PinePhone_Software_Releases

Also got mine today. Battery voltage measured 4.05V so figured it should boot, popped in a gash sim (EE) and a 16GB SD (format Ext4) and it started up ok. Battery was at 25% so attached to a charger and started to do a system update (861MB) - worryingly it is now 39% through and the battery has dropped to 16% despite being on charger - need to find a beefier charger urgently...

That won't be the charger's fault, that'll be just down to inefficient software/drivers that are still being optimized
