Shipping to Russia in 2021 - cyberpunk_on_pinephone - 04-03-2021

Hello guys!
I've got curious, is it possible to ship Pinephone to Russia ? (getting to Saint-Petersburg and taking it manually from Finland or other country is not an option). Also I'm interested is there anybody from Russia who's already got Pinephone and how did you get it ?
P.S. I've heard that it's possible to deliver PinePhone to Russia despite local cryptographical restrictions if parcel is marked for personal usage, is that true ?

Currently there is no shipment to Russia due to lacking shipment route from Hong Kong to Russia using postal route. Hopefully Asendia Post  resume their shipping route soon. DHL doesn't accept personal item shipment from Hong Kong to Russia.

Maybe irrelevant but I notice my replacement mainboard is currently in transit via Russia. If the tracking is accurate then it's about to leave Vnukovo and head onwards to the UK.

It's not a problem to get replacement parts to Russia. Getting the finished product is.

As far as I understand, the shipment of the replacement parts is directly from China. While finished product should be shipped from HK. Which for some bizarre (mostly interpretation of russian law) reason is a problem.

Is it still the case? How can we track if they resumed?

Any news?

Did anyone use 3rd party shipping companies (like eximpost) that ship parcels from Hong Kong to Russia? It seems that shipping costs are eventually less than fees to move parcel to USA via DHL and then forward it to Russia using prostobox (or any other similar service), but there are doubts regarding reliability and possible paperwork issues that resender should do at Russian customs.
