USB Ethernet support - pleco - 06-10-2016

Anyone know if there is a USB Ethernet device that is supported by Pine64/Debian?  I am looking to setup a firewall/router with mine, and would like to have 2 actual ethernet ports as opposed to using one port and setting up VLANs.  Thanks....

It should, I have Ubuntu installed on my Tegra K1 Chromebook and it works fine with the monoprice usb ethernet adapter I have.
Ill try it on the Pine64(Ubuntu), tonight and report back for you.

I got the TRENDnet USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet adapter. Haven't tried it with Linux but Android doesn't ''see'' it at all.
Under Linux if you edit ''interfaces'' it might work but on Android none of its 2 LEDs even blink when I connect it.

Couldn't get my monoprice usb adapter to work on the minimal install.  Its possible that it may work on Unity, but I'm not going to install it.  On my Tegra-K1 laptop running Ubuntu's Unity it does work though.

you may need to install the firmware packages via apt-get on Ubuntu. On the Debian images include them by default in order to support as many devices with much tinkering for new users.

can you post the results of lsusb here. I can narrow down what neeeds to be installed Wink
