KDE Plasma No Navigation?? - Acordag2 - 02-12-2021

I recently got my Pinephone, with KDE Plasma, and it my be down to my relative noobness with mobile Linux distros, but I have no navigation buttons, ie. back, or home or anything, I'm stuck having to reset the phone after opening an app in order to open a different app, I'm I just dense or is there something wrong.

I had the same issue. I think it's a bad software install at the factory.

What worked for me ( in the end) was using the jump drive to install ARCH Linux. (thanks to the suggestion by The 3DmaN ).

Many people here like Mobian, in both Mobian and in ARCH you swipe up ( away) the open Apps from your home screen to fully exit.

For flashing the new /old software see the wiki on Pinephone.  https://wiki.pine64.org/index.php/PinePhone

(You could also try to flash KDE-plasma again...I did this and got some functionality ( the "X" appeared ), then it crashed hard and showed 8% battery when it had been fully charged, and was in the charger when it crashed...bad mojo IMHO. That was a shame because I like the feel of it...)

Either way, You will need to download the Jump drive to and Micro SD card, download the Operating System onto a linux run computer ( that is best) and use that computers Archive manager to flash to 16gb eMMC ( or 32 GB eMMC if you have the 200 dollar version).
