Feedback on Manjaro - jc95405 - 11-20-2020

Don't know if this is the right place to start. Former developer with notes on Manjaro on Pinephone64 3GB. Running beta1-20201104 on micro sd card1) Calls work but volume is low reported by other party on call 2) Have external headset: sound great on music over web when selected as sound output. 3) External headset not recognized as sound input/output during phone calls when headset selected as sound input/output. 4) When running beta2-2020114 on eMMC card, Firefox crashes scrolling on large web pages: higher frame rate in combination with very fast network IO at this site appears to crash Firefox within seconds. Great product. Looking forward to ongoing improvements.

The low audio problem is known and being worked on.

Install Falkon browser from the terminal. Works better than Firefox at the moment

Thank you for the feedback. Have tried Manjaro beta2-20201119 on sd card:  when exiting application with '^' symbol at bottom, thumbnail does not come up with (X) to permit killing of app. All apps since boot appear to continue running until shutdown or reboot.

This is new to a few of the operating systems,

you now flick the thumbnail image towards the top of the screen to close that app.

    ( I prefer the 'X' myself )

I too prefer the 'X' and initially found the execution of the swipe to be very frustrating and annoying (often requiring more than one attempt to implement it). However, with practice I've discovered that making sure my finger is moving upwards when it first contracts the screen for the swipe makes for a reliable swipe.

After the update to 20.10

Earphones thorough the jack no longer work and will play through the speakers.

It loses the date/time.  PowerOff/On doesn't fix  it.
