cad files for rear case/battery upgrade - dallytaur - 11-15-2020

I'm looking for the cad file for the rear case so I can 3d print and give the phone a huge battery.

Also, how would I go about adding a new battery? Could I get a polymer battery, but how would I wire in the thermistor and protection and what part would that be? would be better to wire into the Vbus pongo pin?

Which is probably a good place to start for your battery questions. Also xnux.eu is another hardware entry place.

Check the schematics for the power pogo pins, and make some measurements to confirm before connecting anything as some of the documentation was contradictory. Schematics are also linked from the wiki page. I think you'll need a battery and a charger/psu board to go between your battery and the power pins. Use whatever temperature sensor your charger/psu board specifies.

I found the datasheet it looks like I need a 3K NTC wired into ground

I think I misunderstood what you're doing. If you're needing the NTC I guess you're looking to use the normal battery terminals and replace the usual battery entirely, rather than adding a second battery as I thought. You should check out what the charge controller is doing as your battery may have different voltage characteristics to the stock one (max charge voltage, minimum voltage etc.) I'm not familiar with that bit, but Megous' site might be a good starting point:
