Cannot set Firefox or Calendar as default applications - astrojuanlu - 11-14-2020 In the "settings -> default applications" menu, I can't choose "firefox" in the "web" dropdown (in fact, I can't choose anything), and so links from other applications open with the text editor. similarly, "text editor" is selected as "calendar", and it's the only option, despite having Calendar installed. Is this a known issue? If not, where should I report it? And lastly: can these settings be changed from the command line? RE: Cannot set Firefox or Calendar as default applications - davidbe - 11-14-2020 You can set Firefox as default browser via Firefox > Preferences. There's a button to set Firefox as your default browser. For calendar, I don't know. However, it is still weird that nothing appeared originally. Also, I have no solution for the calendar yet - I wonder if this can be changed from command line somehow? ![]() Cannot set Firefox or Calendar as default applications - davidbe - 11-15-2020 Have you installed a calendar program? gnome-calendar is an option.
