Colemak/Dvorak keyboard layouts don't do anything - clonex10100 - 10-30-2020

I use colemak so I switched my keyboard layout to it on my pinephone. It doesn't do anything though, the keyboard stays qwerty. It's the same for dvorak. The terminal and emoji layouts do change the keyboard, though. Can anyone else reproduce this?

Unfortunately many keyboard layouts on many distributions are plain wrong.

When I'm using a less common keyboard layout, the on screen keyboard stays the same, but it changes for physical keyboards

Same here, there are a few language keyboard of 4-5 of the most common languages, which work fine.. any other "less popular" language changes the language but the on screen keyboard stays the same (in my case English), also tried to tap on the onscreen keyboard since I thought that it shows English but will type in the othe language, but it didn't change a language at all.
