Private Internet Access VPN on Pinebook Pro - 11Eleven - 10-23-2020

Greetings,

Do any of you use VPN's on your pinebook pro?  I tried installing PrivateInternetAccess on mine, but it doesn't want to run.  I was wondering if anybody here had any success with it, or could point me to a suitable alternative.  Also, how would I go about uninstalling it, I'm still presently a noob...

Thanks!

I use wireguard.

What problems do you have ? Installing a client ?

Since I had a PIA subscription, I wanted to try and see if it would work on the Pinebook Pro.  I followed the instructions on their website, it completed the installation, but when I try to run it, I get a notification saying "Launching Private Internet Access (Failed) execvp:Exec format error".  It was a shot in the dark, although it does run on my desktop with Linux Mint.  Anyway, at this point, I'd like to get it to work or learn how to uninstall it AND find a VPN that does work on the Pinebook Pro.  I'll check out wireguard, thank you for letting me know about it!

Wait, if you get "format error" then it means you were trying to run x86 binaries while your Pinebook Pro is ARM based machine.
Which means it's not compatible with either Linux Mint or anything that is designated for x86 computers.

Darn... well, thank you for taking the time to provide me with this information.

Don't loose faith.

There are a lot of VPN services you can use Smile For sure.

Thank you! I'm optimistic.  I like your avatar btw, the virus from "Il etait une fois la vie", that's nostalgic, I watched that show all the time, when I was a kid lol..

Bastafari,
I am looking to set up my expressvpn on my new pinebook pro running the pre loaded manjaro os.  I'd be very interested in how you achieved it, but the link you provided doesn't seem to be working for me.  Could you share the process in some other way?  Many thanks in advance!

Click the hyper link in the post by me before you. It takes you to a guide I made. It may or may not apply to you but give a shot.
