My Daily QA - 2020-10-06 - AmazingNutria - 10-06-2020
Be aware, these tests are being executed using an out-of-box testing methodology. All tests are preformed with minimal interaction/setup of devices outside of: OS imaging/updating, SIM installation, Wifi Configuration, and Power Cycling the devices.
Results:mobian/2020-10-06-TMobile.html
Conclusion: OS is not Ready for pinephone to be daily driver.
Notes: The ability to connect to a cell tower is not on this build. Error is No voice-capable modem available. Because of this all calls and texts fail. In other news the camera app (Megapixels) crashes immediately. We still got a long way to go.

Im also curious to know what happened here. My personal experience is that 4G text and call works incoming and outgoing, although I have had complaints about my voice sounding clunky on the other end.
As for 3G, not really sure since I seldom have it. Seems to be either 4G, 2.5G and 2G where I am. (Germany)
2G works almost never, if at all, for calling and texting is very scetchy at best.
If I dont have 4G, I dont rely on my phone for anything SIM related. This is based on nothing but my own gutfeeling and undocumented observations from using the pinephone mobian as my only daily driver for about 2-3 weeks.

On PMOS convergence phone, 2 way calls and 2 way text working in Tucson, Arizona, USA Using NVMO Simple Mobile (T-Mobile)
Data requires a different APN for 3g and for 4g first time I noticed this.
