Fading screen from 2020 9 8 nightly image - HLing - 09-09-2020

After a week of absence i came back and flashef the 9 8 image onto my pinephone ubport CE. At night all seemed fine. The mobile network still drops out and need a.reboot to wakeup . Being out in broad daylight though i was having problem (i enabled auto screen adjustment) i was having the screen gradually fade on me even when i was typing or trying to navigate the screen. It was a.bit comical as i could never select fast enough to get to the Settings to disable the auto function.

I’m not sure if this is related to your problem, but my Pinephone (with pmOS) also suffers from a similar problem.  The screen dims whenever you accidentally cover the proximity sensor, even when you’re not in a call.  Can you turn covering up your proximity sensor with a finger or something?  It’s located at the left of the speaker grills and camera.

(I put away the phone for the day.  At night, I turn it on again. All was fine. I still made sure to undo the auto brightness just in case. )  I'm not sure I understand where the proximity sensor is? And do you mean that it will dim for when you put it to the ear to talk on the phone?
