Is the volume rocker supposed to work? - Mark53 - 09-01-2020

I got my PostmarketOS edition phone today and the volume rocker seems to have no effect on the volume. Is this expected behavior?

As with everything it depends.... mostly on the software you are using and whether it supports it. Arch and Manjaro both work with the volume rocker- And while I can't say for sure, I imagine a feature like that would work on PMOS as well.

It does work on mine on PMOS. It's not really verbose when you use it though. There is no slider appearing on screen to show that something is happening, only if open the top menu in Phosh you can see it move.

I probably should've checked the main volume in system settings. In the top dropdown menu the volume slider didn't move at all with trying to turn the volume up and down.
In Mobian I checked the volume under system settings and it responds as expected to volume rocker input.
