On Android I use SMS Backup, there is the same thing on Linux/PostmarketOS?
Or just local backups in a json, xml or other format?

Might not be the best way to do it, but I use jumpdrive to copy the image from the emmc

I guess the data is in the profile at worst a script that pushes the data to a Nextcloud.

I compiled the last chatty, purple-telegram plugin and libhandy on my pbpro
I launched Chatty and added my Telegram account
All messages are in
~/.purple/chatty/db/chatty-history.db
with a bit of sql and a script or two it's quite possible that I'll make it
