From what I have read here, I will not hear from anyone until my phone ships.
Will there eventually be somewhere on this website to check the status of an order?

In all likelihood your PP is on the way. I contacted DHL and got my tracking number before I received the automated email. I've been watching my phone go from country to country for about 2 days now and have only now received an official notice from Pine64.

My phone arrived Saturday and I was able to track it on the Chinese shipping company website.
Unfortunately, my SIM did not arrive until today, but I am playing with the phone now!
