My Daily QA - 2020-08-20 - plainenough - 08-20-2020

Results: mobian/2020-08-20

Conclusion: Looks like this os is coming along nicely. Still not ready for pinephone to be a general daily driver.

Notes: Texts seems quicker, call quality was better than yesterday. Speaker still blows.

August 21 nightly :
Text app does not open after suspend  (resumes function after a restart )
Phone freezes when using 'restart' icon on desktop ( recover with hard shut down )

Thank you both of you for keep checking!

Would you say its better than UB? Looks like it from your chart but the following posts lead me to question it. Also a couple ideas to add as criteria: 1) data 2) functional multi-account email client 3) gps. I'd call it a daily driver once those are included and battery lasts 16 hrs

Currently it seems like a better option than UBports. Although the OSes are so new and the hardware still in development, that I wouldn't consider either of them a drop in for replacement of a stereo-typical smart phone.  These comments come directly from the new tester, who will also begin taking over for posting new threads for mobian. According to the data, it is better. But what we want to focus on is, how is that data trending. Overall I think UBPorts is about to catch up and have functionality parity.  Only time will tell.
