I also found the website confusing here. When I was looking for a back cover, all I could find was the protective case. I'm not sure why I confused the two.
Someone else pointed me to the back cover that I was looking for, so I ended up getting both.

strange, I ordered the clear protective case and a spare USB-C port (because I have bad luck with USB-C) before I received my pinephone and I received both as ordered
