Keyboard: ISO -> ANSI - codebreaker - 08-12-2020 I have an original PBP, with the ISO keyboard. I see that both keyboards are available in the store, for a very reasonable ~ $20. My question is how difficult will it be to swap out the keyboard? Anyone with experience? Thanks. RE: Keyboard: ISO -> ANSI - jpalus - 08-13-2020 The process is pretty straightforward though you literally disassemble entire laptop -- it's not "few screws to replace just keyboard" like in mainstream machines. Be warned though that reassembly may not result in fully functioning laptop. See my experience here: https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=10487 Never heard back from sales about daughter board replacement. Still one of the few parts not available in store. In my case the replacement of ISO keyboard with ANSI keyboard went smoothly, except for the trackpad; I damaged something when detaching it from the ISO palmrest and adding it to the ANSI one.(08-13-2020, 06:20 AM)jpalus Wrote: The process is pretty straightforward though you literally disassemble entire laptop -- it's not "few screws to replace just keyboard" like in mainstream machines. Just in case I have time to make some modifications...
