New pinephone, camera don't working - makhno - 07-31-2020
Hello, it's my first post, I hope that it's correct topic.
I start the smartphone after charge battery and when i try to start camera it's don't working both front either rear, when i start the app the screen become black and the "button" to take pictures doesn' t function.
The phone arrived with pre-installed Ubuntu touch I ask to someone what can i do to verify the funcionality of Camera??
Or how to check if it's a software problem?

Hey, the camera works, but the software is not ready.
It will eventually work, just follow the forum and the new releases.
If you move to Mobian, the camera partially works. Is very laggy there, but at least show images.

The postmarketOS factory test image can be used to test the camera. Try putting pine64-pinephone-20200721-factorytest49.img.xz
on an SDcard and running the automatic tests.
Using the factory49.img, my Braveheart reports a failure on the rear camera. The front camera pass the test showing a test photo.
