5Ghz Wifi Question - LMalilil - 07-09-2020

Per this page: https://www.pine64.org/pinephone/

Quote:[*]WiFi: 802.11 b/g/n, single-band, hotspot capable
[*]
The phone is single band (so only 2.4GHz).

2.4GHz is also where you'll find b/g/n bands. 5GHz bands will usually be 802.11ac.

[*]Yeah didn't see that. Was having issues with the same on the PBP but got it sorted out but wanted to make sure it wasn't a similar issue with the Pinephone. Thanks

802.11n is also 5gHz compatible, but it requires a dual band antenna (or a single band 5gHz, but those don't exist to my knowledge)
