Noobiest of noob question - how to go back or exit in ubports - ReleaseTheGeese - 07-09-2020

Greetings,

This question is embarrassing, because maybe I've missed something obvious.

How does one navigate "backwards" on UBports? I'm used to the back key on Android either suspending the program or moving "back" a pane.

What would the equivalent gesture or button be on UBports to suspend the current task and get back to the desktop screen?

Thanks.

When running the first time, you should've seen a tutorial. On https://ubuntu-touch.io/nl/elegance-and-simplicity you have the same information under the fifth title "Elegant and innovative" (about the swipes).

Thanks, I'm on to it now. It's a short swipe to jump from one open program to the next. Long swipe brings up the full deck. That's an interesting novel method for navigation. Unlike Android, I can see an advantage in that screen space isn't taken by more on-screen buttons.

Though, is there any way to quickly bring up the home screen with the background? It isn't *that* vital to the workflow, but it is something I'd do reasonably often on Android. But now I think of it, this wasn't a feature of Windows Phone or iOS either.

Sailfish has similar gestures and is much better than (b)android.
