Lifting Trackpad - p3pp3r - 07-05-2020

I received my pinebook pro back in January, it's an ANSI model.  The bottom right corner of my trackpad seems to be higher than the other corners.  So much so that it is higher than the palm rest.  It's something that's slowly happened over time.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I see. I think if you follow the instructions on the wiki, opening it up might be a good idea. You may be able to figure it out. Mine didn't fit while I had the first gen nvme adapter installed, but it's better now. Sorry I don't have more info for you.

No, but I'll probably open it up again to see what's going on.

I had the same, but right from the start.

There's a foamy / spungy ground connecting thingy, I cut out part of the inside, and now the right bottom corner doesn't stick up as much.
I made sure it would still make good contact though, I recon there's a reason they put it there.

My pics and story here, look at the last post (and perhaps the first one):

Cool, thanks for posting the link.

RE: Lifting Trackpad - Timpanogos Slim - 03-23-2021

I finally opened mine up.

The double-sided tape between the trackpad and the plastic piece that holds it in place had picked up a fingerprint during assembly and was not well adhered. I warmed up the adhesive with my hot air system at about 130c, peeled the plastic piece off, removed the tape, applied new double-sided tape, and reassembled. Seems good.
