We'll soon get camera support :) - Luke - 07-03-2020 From the looks of it, we'll soon be able to use the camera on UT Reference RE: We'll soon get camera support :) - drpi - 07-03-2020 (07-03-2020, 12:32 PM)Luke Wrote: From the looks of it, we'll soon be able to use the camera on UTThat's great news ! Think so too. RE: We'll soon get camera support :) - elastic - 07-03-2020 Great News RE: We'll soon get camera support :) - hiimtye - 07-04-2020 thank goodness, this is a feature I desperately need at my job site, as I require the ability to take photos of blueprints to reference later RE: We'll soon get camera support :) - Luke - 07-04-2020 (07-04-2020, 03:51 PM)hiimtye Wrote: thank goodness, this is a feature I desperately need at my job site, as I require the ability to take photos of blueprints to reference later The fact that it will work doesn't mean it will work well ... Do have a read here however: https://blog.brixit.nl/pinephone-camera-part-2/ RE: We'll soon get camera support :) - hiimtye - 07-06-2020 (07-04-2020, 05:37 PM)Luke Wrote:(07-04-2020, 03:51 PM)hiimtye Wrote: thank goodness, this is a feature I desperately need at my job site, as I require the ability to take photos of blueprints to reference later it doesn't have to be beautiful, just functional so I can get correct measurements actually, that link you gave shows more promise than I'd hoped when I saw you give a link lol RE: We'll soon get camera support :) - hiimtye - 07-12-2020 I've been toying with the camera.py on ArchARM, but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't have the patches for the driver that he mentions to get both cameras working. I can take rear pictures, but I'm not sure how to figure out the colourspace from the driver, so they're all in black and white. the default that he uses (UYVY) doesn't seem to exist in the driver, so I'm not sure how he's getting the results he is, unless those options are added in the driver patchset he's using. edit: nope. I figured it out. if you don't use --raw and save it as a .jpg then the colour is fine. the front camera is green, however lol RE: We'll soon get camera support :) - natasha - 07-21-2020 Any update on this? this black screen is very depressing... RE: We'll soon get camera support :) - Luke - 07-22-2020 You need to ask UT deves about this. |
