Rock64 Real Time Clock - User 15267 - 07-02-2020

Hello all,

Has anyone been able to get the real time clock working on the Rock64? If so how did you go about it? I have been looking through the forums and there talk of the RTC working on v3 but I can't find anything indicating that anyone had actually done it and what hardware they used. Am I correct that if I were to order a Rock64 from the store now that would be v3?

Thanks!

Both Ver2 / Ver3 have a clock function.
The differences between them are as follows.
A backup power supply connector has been added on Ver3.
So that, the clock can continue to operate even if the main power is turned off.
(Only if backup power supply is connected).
That's the only difference.

If you are using it in an environment where you can connect to the network all the time,
there is not much of an advantage.
This is because the operating system sets "Clock Time" to the "NTP-Server Time" immediately after start-up.

No, I don't think it's good.
I asked the same question as you about a year ago.
At that time, I was advised that you should email the sales department and follow the instructions.
I acted that way and achieved my purpose.
