Low Volume Making Calls (Ubuntu Touch) - PineFuture - 06-11-2020
My PinePhone with the latest factory UT has very low volume when making phone calls compared to Android or iPhones I've used (not a hearing problem). The volume is turned up all the way. It is making and receiving the calls themselves fine on an AT&T MVNO.
Is this a problem with my particular PinePhone, a software issue in UT, or just how the hardware is? I realize "normal volume" is subjective, but this is noticably harder to hear on than any other phone I've used. I don't know anyone else with a PinePhone to compare mine to. Thanks!

I have this problem also. I think it's a little bit louder on Mobian, but than has realy much background noice. Also there's a lot of noise on the other side. I don't really know, but I think it could have something to do with the modem integration. So with my Pinephone calling works, but not really usable right now.

I can also confirm low volume with noise, both on my side and callers side. Very low quality of sound all in all, without (what it seems) any way to get sound over speaker for call. I hope there can be improvements on this, otherwise I'd have to agree with @SuperMonkey.

VoLTE calls work in postmarket and Mobian, and using a script in ubports. Check Ubports pinephone Telegram channel. It was posted sometime in the last week. Or just wait a bit for the next build or so.
