(preorder was something like 25th of august). Probably not..... Reflecting on the current first 100 deliveries, we're about a month behind first estimates. And for good reason. Although some of the issues, such this week being a Chinese holiday, weren't widely known... Some of the first hundred have received their PBP's and some, like me, haven't heard a word about delivery. I think delivery will be a continuing adventure. It has been so far. And as Luke pointed out earlier in a forum post, things come up but the hope is that "things" will smooth out going forward......I, for one, am confident things will improve. Now as to when your particular computer will ship.....How are you at betting? :-) And my bet is not long after the first 200 make their way. Troubles ought to be ironed out by then....Best Wishes :-) RE: Pinebook Pro Batch Deliveries - bcnaz - 10-02-2019 Hello, I am "Brand New" here, well, new even to posting anything 'online' I put in my Pinebook Pro order on September 05 Does that put me into the second or the third "Batch" ? It was described as shipping approximately mid-October. I am just curious if anyone has an official Guess-timate of a revised schedule ? And IF there is any proposed dates for another batch ? Thanks I may be mistaken, But seems I remember in a different thread Luke mentioned something about them combining some batches ? So maybe it will just be a matter of shipping them as they roll off the assembly line, rather than starting over on each 'Batch' ??? RE: Pinebook Pro Batch Deliveries - kazriko - 10-03-2019 There was a message in another thread that they ran out of time in the middle of the first batch, and the rest won't be sent until after the golden week holiday, which makes them due to be shipped sometime after october 7th. RE: Pinebook Pro Batch Deliveries - kaylios - 10-03-2019 Ok. Then my bet is that I will get my laptop around Christmas RE: Pinebook Pro Batch Deliveries - CryptoRick - 10-03-2019 (10-03-2019, 02:56 AM)kaylios Wrote: Ok. ? Hopefully sooner than that lol RE: Pinebook Pro Batch Deliveries - trogdor3000 - 10-03-2019 How do we know if we are in the first batch? What was the cutoff date or order number? I'm in the first 100, but the "wrong" part of the hundred...At least to be among the first to get a PBP..... So "stuff" happens and things get a bit out of order. Probably be that way for a while until some consistency gets going on. That said, those who've ordered and are "down the line", they'll probably will see their PBP in a much shorter timeline than we who are in the first hundred... Just stay tuned! :-) RE: Pinebook Pro Batch Deliveries - CryptoRick - 10-04-2019 (10-03-2019, 11:01 AM)rick1959 Wrote:Would be nice to get a little better insight on where the production is currently. And it is also quite likely that what is happening is that a small group of folks trying to make something remarkable happen, are overtaxed in their ability to keep up with the information that "should" be made available. So hopefully some "lessons learned" will be kept, in the hopes for more improvement as thngs progress... For my part, I'd rather endure any inconvenience on the part of well meaning folks, than endure the BS of some faceless corporation...There is Hope here. The other choice supports a costly lack of choice... |
