Also, there is a known bug in Qt 5.11 that causes KMail messages not displaying at all.

suspend and audio both work for me.

New image 20180917-1726:

https://files.kde.org/neon/images/pinebook-remix-nonfree/useredition/20180917-1726/

There are several fixes included,
  • Resuming from sleep is fixed
  • Broken audio after resuming from sleep
  • Bluetooth
  • Palm rejection (Disable "touchpad" while typing)
  • Disable/enable speakers when plugging/unplugging headphones
  • Disable accidental zoom invocation when scrolling in firefox
Errata:
  • Lack of real suspend, I believe this is due to choice of driver we are using, and currently turning lid off puts device to sleep and not suspend like mate image.
  • Sleep inverts the brightness control, after waking up from sleep brightness control are inverted.
Looking forward to your feedback in comments section.

Looking forward to your feedback in comments section.

RE: KDE Neon Pinebook remix edition RC image - Luke - 11-01-2018

Just a quick heads-up everyone; at the time of writing (build 08282018) there is an issue with lock screen breaking resuming from suspend. To fix it navigate to - settings -> desktop behavior -> screen locking. Tick off automatic screen lock after 5 min and lock screen on resume.
Bshash, consider adding this to initial post.

RE: KDE Neon Pinebook remix edition RC image - rookieone - 11-04-2018

Thank you for a pretty great linux on the pinebook Smile

Looks like there's a new version today:
neon-pinebook-remix-useredition-20181104-1500-arm64.img.gz

Downloaded it and did a fresh dd to a sdcard.

Looks like the kcminit process is no longer crashing in the background, yay! Smile

I do see a lot of these now in syslog:

And the MAN pages seem broken, e.g. man ls shows only one line

Code:
Manual page ls(1) line ?/? (END) (press h for help or q to quit)

p.s. Googled a workaround for the man page issue:
sudo apt install apparmor-utils
sudo aa-disable /usr/bin/man

Thanks again! Smile

RE: KDE Neon Pinebook remix edition RC image - rookieone - 11-05-2018

Some more experiences with the:
neon-pinebook-remix-useredition-20181104-1500-arm64.img.gz

Yesterday evening around 23:00 I closed the lid at 96% batttery, and this morning around 09:00 when I opened it (and everything seemed to work again : ) the battery was at 94%, which looks pretty good to me Smile\

Looks like something weird is going on with the "Dim screen" option in the Energy Saving settings. After it goes dim, it goes more dim, and then the screen goes black, as if it is switched off. It's only the screen that is off then. After the screen has switched off, CAPS lock is still on, USB stick light still burns, etc. but moving the trackpad, clicking the buttons, using the keyboard does not turn the screen on again. Putting the pinebook to suspend and back again makes the screen work again. And it looks like if you choose 5 minutes at screen dim, it dims after 2.5 minutes and goes black after 5 minutes (and stays black, untill manually suspend, resume).

p.s. if you set the "Screen Energy Saving" to a smaller value than the "Dim screen" one, than the screen goes normally off, and can be turned on normally, e.g. by moving the trackpad.

Turning screen dim off for now ;-)

In link has pinebook-remix-nonfree - so that's Open Source Notebook which is non-free even non-open source or i should use Arch Linux with kernel 4.19 ?
