I went through my retained monthly backup snapshots, and at no point did I ever have the lvm2 hook in /etc/mkinitcpio. conf.
I think in the process of trying everything to get it to boot I installed a complete other system using manjaro-arm-installer and ultimately copied the initramfs over from that. Seven months later I don't really remember.
So that one is not on manjaro-testing.
