RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - jlongman - 09-02-2016 Super cool! - I had to use 100Mb ethernet - 1000Mbps would not work. - 4k has the image compressed in the top half of the screen, although colour extends to the bottom sometimes with noise. - cheap 4k tv doesn't have CEC screenshot is here: http://imgur.com/a/63kTv RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - TraJiK - 09-02-2016 Played with it for a bit. Was definitely able to get my 1000Mbps connection going, which is great. Don't have a 4k to test with unfortunately. Menu seemed quite snappy. Tried to throw Netflix on it, but couldn't find the correct compatible version. Definitely a fantastic start you have with this, please keep er going so it can become my daily driver. Love the fact that I can navigate the menus without the need for a full keyboard. Appreciate all the hard work with this build! RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - ayufan - 09-03-2016 TraJiK: try to sideload Netflix using `adb install`. Download APK from: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/ RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - ayufan - 09-03-2016 jlongman: I have the same RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - hrlmbtz - 09-03-2016 Gotta get me a bigger sd card realllly wanna mess with this . Only have a 4gb card right now Sent from my SM-G928T using Tapatalk RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - thefulla - 09-03-2016 Works really well on 1080p TV. Love the Android TV remote control app functionality. Really only could do with some suspend / standby button, as you stated the built in sleep will not wake up. Really awesome build overall, thanks for this. RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - jlongman - 09-05-2016 (09-02-2016, 07:37 PM)TraJiK Wrote: Played with it for a bit. I went to Chrome and searched for netflix, in the google results was a link to the Play store. Choose the new Netflix (Stylized N on a black background) not the old one (rounder N on a white background). Click and install, and it's in the Sideloaded Apps app, not the main screen. No need to sideload with adb. RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - ayufan - 09-05-2016 So it's not Netflix for TV RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - ayufan - 09-06-2016 jlongman: try this one: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/netflix-inc/netflix-for-android-tv/ RE: Android TV with HDMI and 4K - Sumeet.GiLL - 09-06-2016 (08-26-2016, 11:53 AM)VAAviator Wrote: Thank You for doing this work. For many of us, this is why we bought the Pine64.My thoughts are with the same as most of us bought the Pine64 for using as Android box. And would be very grateful if someone put video or install procedure step by step. Thanks |
