Afraid not, the factory test image just runs diagnostics. However even if the eMMC is not working the phone is not bricked as long as it boots off of an SD card, you could just use it that way. From mobian the whole eMMC should be /dev/mmcblk2 while any partitions would be /dev/mmcblk2p1 etc. Any errors accessing it should show up in the logs which you can access using journalctl. RE: Pinephone is dead (sort of) - thorensjubilee - 01-01-2022 Hello everybody, I have just downloaded UB ports, my favourite OS, and it downloaded onto the emmc! So that's the conclusion. The reset buttom did the trick. I would just like to give a big THANK YOU to everybody who replied. But well done and Happy New Year RE: Pinephone is dead (sort of) - Zebulon Walton - 01-01-2022 That's great! The eMMC hardware must have been in a funny state where doing a hardware reset cleared it. Bizarre but as long as it's working now that's the main thing. |
