We are now on Update 25. How is that? can i solve it? Maybe your installed version is not compatible with OTA ? RE: Ubuntu Touch with OTA updates - Luke - 05-15-2020 Sounds like a daily build and not the OTA enabled "main build" RE: Ubuntu Touch with OTA updates - afigegoznaet - 05-15-2020 Looks like I had downloaded form the old link: https://ci.ubports.com/job/rootfs/job/rootfs-pinephone/ The correct link (in case anyone else needs it) seems to be this one: https://ci.ubports.com/job/rootfs/job/rootfs-pinephone-systemimage/ RE: Ubuntu Touch with OTA updates - colin hodsdon - 05-15-2020 (05-15-2020, 06:15 AM)afigegoznaet Wrote:(05-14-2020, 02:54 AM)pepo Wrote: interestingly enough, i cannot see any "channel" option in the settings-update menu: just "auto download" and "reinstall all apps". How is that? can i solve it? mine did that but corrected itself, booted up today, and i got 9 options to choose from. RE: Ubuntu Touch with OTA updates - somken - 05-16-2020 Is there a change log? In fact, you can say that the Pinephone has been in OTA-12 since the beginning. @Luke From the recent images, the channel is set to Stable and it seems that there are no updates on this channel. I switched to Development and was able to update successfully. This is the usual way on other UT devices so I think it's fine. Is this the way moving forward? Perhaps it's worth updating the first post? RE: Ubuntu Touch with OTA updates - Zweitaktmotor - 05-23-2020 Just did update #30 but wanted to find out what had changed. Going back to Luke's initial post and clicking here I see that update #26 on that link was only released today, but there were no recent changes recorded. I changed the update channel as advised later in this thread, but what is the related web site, please? RE: Ubuntu Touch with OTA updates - Mangled - 05-25-2020 Hi, I was trying to give ub-ports a shot on my BH pinephone and ran into an issue with flashing. I tried to flash the most recent image, #26 at the time, to emmc using etcher and was successful. Though the boot hangs on the ub-ports loading screen. So I've tried older releases and still run into the same issue. Are you able to flash to emmc with the jump drive? |
