RE: Pine64 can run Ubuntu Server Arm, Ubuntu 15.10 - ML-Anderal - 12-20-2015 I am wondering if you will provide builds on the Pine64 page? Mainly because I know several backers that have no idea how to do the things needed to get the right OS or Kernel running on ANYTHING. If you guys provided your testing packages and simple instructions I know that would make a lot of backers extremely excited. Either way it will not be a huge deal once I have my board I will be testing OS versions and such that work with the kernel and will get anything and everything possible running. After If I have the time I will post on my page DL packages for all of those with specific information on which boards work best with it. RE: Pine64 can run Ubuntu Server Arm, Ubuntu 15.10 - KevinA - 12-27-2015 Quote:The key is the BSP. I have several 'products' that never made it to maturity, they, the product creators, have given up and moved on. If the BSP is 'real' and by that I mean when you change a register the expected results happen than your product has a chance to reach maturity. I looked at what your providing and am curious about the CAMERA interface and the GPU encoding.Quote:Getting GPU accelerations is generally going to be the hardest part as some BSPs need to be matched and/or compiled for specific X versions. I had many acceleration issues on the Udoo and its IMX6 since those BSPs were horrid to work with, whereas Pi2 has been fairly easy. Thanks on the helpful tips. Either way with the power usage, Floating Point and cost this product will survive. How do I get a look at the BSP? You have my Email. Thanks Kevin.
