I have/had the exact same problem.
I solved it by pushing 3 black "pins" to the side. This kept the phone away from the pogo pin connections. One was near the pogo plate on the right side and the other two underneath. Depends on how you hold it - portrait orientation.

Hey Dan Sun could you explain what you did more or perhaps with an image? I am seeing some strange things with my keyboard as well and would love to know what you changed so I may try it.

Well, there are 3 small "nubs" on the inside of the cover. The same goes for the battery cover on your phone. I got rid of them and that helped.
The latest manjaro 10 beta works really great. The latest danctnix not so much. So probably still some software issues as well.
