I used cheap USB-A to USB-A cableThis is surprise to me, I thought the OTG should be locate on the lower USB port. RE: USB OTG Boot - Quintus23M - 01-24-2016 @tllim, I can clearly confirm, you have to use the UPPER USB port on the Pine A64+ board to use FEL. To enter FEL mode you have to boot without a SD card inserted. Once you booted the Pine into FEL mode you can detect it on your host computer Code: $ lsusb With the latest patch for sunxi-fel from @ssvb, you can easily upload/download data from the boards memory Code: $ sudo sunxi-fel version More details can be found at: http://linux-sunxi.org/Pine64#FEL_mode RE: USB OTG Boot - tllim - 01-24-2016 (01-24-2016, 01:51 PM)Quintus23M Wrote: @tllim,Noted and thanks, looks like I remember wrongly. RE: USB OTG Boot - kenjiru - 10-24-2016 So is there any way to boot from USB? Raspberry pi 3 supports it for some time now: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/pi-3-booting-part-i-usb-mass-storage-boot/ RE: USB OTG Boot - Learnincurve - 02-24-2017 Please can someone help me identify the "Upper" and "Lower" usb host receptacles? eg: which is closer to the board? If I remember correctly from the hardware documentation, the "upper" port is the one farthest from the baseboard. |
