RE: I dropped my Pine64 - DukeJustice - 11-07-2016 Hi. Sorry, for the price of the thing, I decided to put it to rest and wait for the other one to come in. Thanks everyone for pitching in. RE: I dropped my Pine64 - Luke - 11-07-2016 so, I take it that it didn't work ? sorry :/ [edit] I just looked at the pictures in your sig. Did you have one of those large heatsinks attached when the board fell ? If so, then perhaps it damaged a trace / shorted something out as it moved or slipped ? RE: I dropped my Pine64 - MarkHaysHarris777 - 11-07-2016 yeah, rats. I don't think it did as it's spaced with a copper spacer and it all was squishy in CPU thermal paste. And I did inspect the board thoroughly. It served its time well. Always the best leaving us first. Couldn't a banana pi m3 have died in its place? Thanks to you all. RE: I dropped my Pine64 - dkryder - 11-07-2016 you could try a powered hub in addition to usb power just for chuckles. You forgot to mention the half-dozen resistors tacked across the 3.3v and 5v rpi/euler power pins to ensure maximum smoke/bang and ensure minimum disappointment ![]() RE: I dropped my Pine64 - MarkHaysHarris777 - 11-07-2016 (11-07-2016, 06:49 PM)pfeerick Wrote:(11-07-2016, 03:00 PM)dkryder Wrote: you could try a powered hub in addition to usb power just for chuckles. hahahahahaha Big Clive's Resistor Routlette !
