RE: No boot after Manjaro flash - wdt - 09-27-2022 @bburdette mtd (memory technology device),,, it is not so clear, Did you write or install something OR just try to boot? If just boot, try hard reset (hold pwr button 20+ sec) and obviously SD card out RE: No boot after Manjaro flash - bburdette - 09-27-2022 (09-27-2022, 08:52 AM)wdt Wrote: @bburdette Ah yes, mtd. No I wanted to try writing to that with nandwrite but the device wasn't visible in the old version of manjaro. So I attempted booting from new manjaro on SD, and that apparently bricked the pinebook. So I never got to try writing to mtd0. I won't be able to try the 20 seconds trick till Friday, but thx. No leds, no nothing. RE: No boot after Manjaro flash - ky56 - 10-03-2022 Try removing the EMMC card and putting it on the USB adapter and boot from that using tow boot. That was the only way I could boot Manjaro-ARM-kde-plasma-generic-22.08.img. Obviously not a solution but debug step. I can't figure out if tow boot or Manjaro is the issue though as the issue only happened after the Manjaro update but tow-boot shows GPT partition errors that I think mean it can't find the GPT partition. When I put the EMMC card on the USB adapter and boot from that it can find the partition just fine and boot. RE: No boot after Manjaro flash - wdt - 10-03-2022 @bburdette After the hard reset, you have to try and start it the normal way, ~1s press Just if you didn't understand gdisk has a v = verify command in the recovery menu = r you could try g = convert to MBR only OR f = rebuild GPT from MBR (only if MBR and GPT match partition count numbers, o MBR and p GPT in recovery menu) or there may be other problems that verify will tell you about, maybe the backup is not at end of disk |
