Depending on how well I align it when I put the back cover on it sometimes looks like there's some pressure on the back, raising the middle of the window slightly. It's seem most easily if you view at an angle to see the distortion of the reflection on the window. I could imagine this leading to a leak over time. Since I stuck the back on myself I've assumed it will leak, but between sweat and rain it's been ok so far.

I believe @Spater had a sealed unit, so this may indicate some manufacturing check that needs to be performed during assembly.

The erosion definitely looks as if it came through the area where there is the heart rate window. The rest of the PCB looks corrosion free.

It still may not explain the display though.

@Spater How did you clean the green corrosion? Ideally you try some non-conductive anti-corrosion cleaner (maybe pure alcohol?).

Thanks @wibble for looking into the assembly of the heart rate sensor and case fitting.

@barray you are right, I have the Sealed version of Pinetime.

I used pure Isopropyl alcohol to clean it.

Took a look at the back of screen, could the spot in the red circle (see attached picture) be due to some kind of overheating?

Looks like there's something on the back of the board in the same location, but it's out of focus. What is it?
