That's a good idea, I've not tried it yet, but I'll do it. So far, I've opened a bug report on the Marvell kernel driver bugzilla (see https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215732). I'll comment more once I'll have tried with only one disk or even none connected to the adapter.

So after using grep on my dmesg output I do see this error, however it doesnt cause any issues with the drives. Do you have issues apart from the speeds , with accessing or writing to the drives ?

I've tried to start without any disks connected to the adapter and it behaves the same (same error message and stack trace).

No, the disks work fine (daily reads/writes, trim, smart reporting), I have not seen any weird behavior beside that the speed is lower than expected.

Interesting , well hopefully your bug report will provide us with an answer to the error.
With regards to speeds I have closer to 310Mbps with the adapter ,this is with a crucial SSD, however I will be upgrading to a samsung EVO SSD tomorrow , I can report back with the speeds produced then.
