I have the same issue (NS_ERROR_NET_INADEQUATE_SECURITY on most sites).

Some web searches gives that this might be related to an incompatibility with libnss. Although this bug report concerns Thunderbird, it's probably related, and the solution would then be to install libnss3 2:3.66-1. Unfortunately the only version available for the PinePhone today seems to be 2:3.61-1:

I had the same issue on my PineTab....in firefox on my linux mint desktop http2 is enabled but no problems with any sites. Hm?

It's because the problem is not http/2 but seems to be an incompatibility between Firefox and the libnss3 version that Mobian uses right now.

looks like libnss was updated today in unstable and seems to have corrected the problem.

It's now also in stable, updated, changed option back to enabled, restarted Firefox, everything works. Smile
