Will there be a shipping confirmation email when my unit ships out? Also, I ordered the m.2 adapter in the same order, will they be shipped at the same time then, but just in different packages?

I'll go a step further and say that if my shipment was somehow lost, but the people of Hong Kong were free of China's overzealous reach, I'd be okay with that.

I live in Hong Kong. I wouldn't worry about the protests affecting shipping. The protestors are no longer blocking flights (they've turned their attention to the subway system instead) so you can expect things to go smoothly.
