RE: PineTab Mobian - guenther - 10-21-2020 Hi folks! Geary and lollypop ask for the password of keyring at first startup after a reboot, because keyring is locked. Password of keyring is the same as the user (mobian) but different to the default "1234". Any ideas? When I try sudo apy update then Hit:1 .... Hit:2 ... Error time out Reading package list ... done .... Because I use Japanese language mode, maybe the messages above are not completely same as those of English. I have tried several times but always failed. It seems partially updated. partially failed to update. 2) Bluetooth doesn't work at all. Pinetab says it can't find bluetooth. To use bluetooth, please insert dungle. RE: PineTab Mobian - a-wai - 11-03-2020 Hello everyone, As we're preparing a major transition to 5.9 kernel (and a couple other things under the hood), some packages incompatible with the current 5.8 kernel will be uploaded in the coming days. It is recommended that you don't update your system for a few days and backup your personal data. You might even have to reflash a new image if the upgrade goes wrong (which is quite likely to happen). Please note a u-boot upgrade will be part of the transition and will require manual action to install the new bootloader (see wiki). Thanks for your understanding, hopefully this will be our last breaking change. RE: PineTab Mobian - guenther - 11-04-2020 @a-wai Thank you for the info. If I get it right, we should wait till the 5.9 kernel is in the update list?! Is there a "sudo u-boot-install-pinetab" command or just use "sudo u-boot-install-pinephone" for the u-boot upgrade? RE: PineTab Mobian - a-wai - 11-04-2020 Yes, there's a `u-boot-install-pinetab` script for the pinetab. Regarding the upgrade, 5.9 is already in, but I have yet to find a way to automate various things required for it to boot properly due to heavy changes wrt the boot process. If you're impatient you can flash today's nightly, but I'm not yet sure I won't break more stuff in the coming days RE: PineTab Mobian - guenther - 11-04-2020 Perfect, Thank You! I will be patient and wait. The PineTab with Mobian works, at least for my needs, as a daily driver nearly perfect. Thank You for your work! I'd like to drop back to something I can use on the tablet until A-Wai catches up with all his rework. Thanks! I like Mobian also, but Arch Linux ARM has things working that still had issues in Mobian. My biggest issue with Arch was the onscreen keyboard size, but that has been fixed. BT and sound work too.(11-04-2020, 08:55 AM)guenther Wrote: Perfect, Thank You! I will be patient and wait. The PineTab with Mobian works, at least for my needs, as a daily driver nearly perfect.
