Android flashed, SD card shows empty? - montero65 - 04-21-2016 So I followed the directions from the Wiki, downloaded PhoenixCard, downloaded the Android image, and tried to flash my SD card (16GB). Ran PhoenixCard software, following the directions, and it finishes, no errors given, says "magic complete". When I look at the card on my computer though, it doesn't show any files, and shows the card has full capacity still, no storage used. Is this what I should be seeing? I thought it would show some amount of memory used on the card. I've tried with using images "sun50iw1p1_android_db1000_uart0_0216.img" and "android-ver5.1.1-20160303-pine64-phoenixCard.img" so far, but haven't seen anything on the card afterward with either. Am I missing something, or does this sound right? New to this stuff, so forgive my ignorance if I should not see anything. Thanks. I have tried 3 different micro SD cards, one standard SD card on 2 separate computers both running Windows 7. RE: Android flashed, SD card shows empty? - deafbruce - 04-23-2016 Same here... RE: Android flashed, SD card shows empty? - CaptainZalo - 04-24-2016 Did you try inserting the card ine the pine, turn it on and let it sit for 15 minutes? Windows doesn't understand non-windows partitions, so it might be a question of bad interpretation. RE: Android flashed, SD card shows empty? - Tarjei85 - 04-24-2016 Not shire if it is the correct answer but the filesystem for Android (ext2, ext3, ext4) is NOT possible to show in Windows. This is a linux-filesystem so I guess you can get it to show if you use linux. If anybody can verify or correct me it would be nice. I was seeing the same thing as RAGE Sonix, completed, full space available. I haven't had the chance to play with the Pine yet, I was doing this at work last week before going out of town. Glad to hear this should not be an issue. Hopefully I'll get a chance to fire it up tonight and get going with it. Thanks again! RE: Android flashed, SD card shows empty? - HappyFuzzy - 04-26-2016 Just keep trying. It took me about 30 attempts. My windows sees the files on the card just fine. I have no idea what these people are talking about, not seeing the files.... |
