LCD Upgrade - Lyga - 02-18-2018 Hello All, I'm considering upgrading LCD panel on my pinebook to something better. If I got spec sheet right - the panel used on pinebook is BOE HB140WX1-501, which using 30 pins eDP 1-line interface and require 3.3V. Panel specs I'm thinking about trying AUO B140HAN01.3, which is 30 pins eDP 2-lines, same 3.3V. Panel specs Does anyone tried something similar before (not necessary with same panel model)? Is there anything else I need to take into account before purchasing it? Xalius has the 1080P Pinebook OS build and you can check with him. RE: LCD Upgrade - WZ9V - 01-06-2019 I'm interested in doing this also. Does the Pinebook 14in board support the two eDP channels needed on the 30pin connector to run at 1920x1080? Whats the best way to open the LCD case? It looks like it snaps together. Just turn the Pinebook over and unscrew ten small screws on the bottom case. When open, if the magnet bars (4 pieces), just place back properly.Whole process takes less than 3 mins. RE: LCD Upgrade - WZ9V - 01-07-2019 Thanks. I saw the instructions on how to remove the LCD screen Pinebook top from the bottom but how do you open the plastic case containing the plastic around the LCD once you have it separated? Under the 4 rubber stand-offs that prevent the keyboard from scratching the screen there are 4 screws, which you need to undo first. Those little rubber stand-offs are held in place using adhesive tape and come off quite easily. With the 4 screws removed, you just need a pry-tool or a credit card. The lid and LCD bezel are held together using plastic clips - I suggest start prying from either left or right of the webcam. Any less expensive options? RE: LCD Upgrade - WZ9V - 01-08-2019 (01-08-2019, 02:21 PM)Corkonian Wrote: AUO B140HAN01.3 is about as expensive as a complete 14" Pinebook.
