Will let you know as soon as tllim gets back to me.

Based on Luke description, we need to send a replacement module to you. Please PM me with your name, address, and phone number, I will handle the replacement. I will honor all finding from IRC chat support "Luke" so that backer no need to repeat the process again.

The board draws ~850mA with the wifi board connected.

WTF? It sounds like Luke and tllim are fixing you up, but my 2cents worth is that the wifi module is faulty... I didn't get anywhere near that power consumption even with the brief stress test maxing the CPU out!!! Hope to hear good news that you have more luck with a replacement!
Well I'm having these crashes too.

I bought TWO Pine64 2GB models and two wifi/bt adapters.

On ubuntu xenial, they both go in endless reboot cycles.

On Android, one went in an endless reboot cycle and one powered up, but when I tried to turn on wifi or bluetooth nothing happened, and it went back off.

I'm using an official Raspberry Pi 3 adapter that provides 2.5A, so that should be enough, no?

Not good ....
