Hi there.

If the pine 64 is compatible with android, will it be with android tv? Is there extra steps to make an android tv system image?

Thanks!
Android TV is just software for an entertainment hub, for actual TVs or media players connected to a TV.
As long as you can get the individual packages, someone could make an Android image for you.
In terms of requirements, it requires Android 6.0 (http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?t...d=24#pid24).

Just to add, that the Pine64 won't support Android 6 at launch, but it is planned.
Not only for my curiosity... as I want to use the PINE64 as an HTPC with Android TV and Kodi...

Android TV is an additional software loaded with start?
Or an adaption of basic Android firmware?

IMHO Android TV doesn´t require Android 6.0 - it works in my NVIDIA Shield Android TV with Android 5.1.
But it is expected to have a better experiance when upgraded to Android 6.0

Hope you can give some more in-depth information.

best regards from Germany :-)

Android TV is a marketing term for software similar to Kodi that is integrated into Android. To make it work on the Pine64, a developer or two need to figure out how to get the packages and install them. As long as there are no special hardware requirements or licencing issues, the work is feasible.
