I posted on the Arch subgroup that I have not been able to get sound working with the 20190112 ArchLinux from Anarsoul. I decided to ask what distro's might be best on a Pinebook. On my desktop I use Arch (my current favorite) and Debian. For the Pinebook, I'm just looking for ease of use, good performance and best distro support. What is recommended?
It looks like the choice for me would be Ubuntu or Arch. Arch is my favorite distro, but Ubuntu seems to be the most popular and best supported Linux for Pine64. I am using a Pinebook.

Try Manjaro, https://manjaro.org/download/
I've installed bionic-lxde-pinebook-bspkernel-0.7.28-136.img.xz from ayufan-pine64

In order to get wifi working I created this file:

/etc/netplan/30-wifi-home.yaml

Contents:

network:
  version: 2
  renderer: NetworkManager
  wifis:
    wlan0:
      dhcp4: yes
      dhcp6: no
      access-points:
        "wifi-name":
          password: "wifi-password"

So far so good. I installed to emmc with the provided script.
