Hello,

As I know, Pine64 has a revision B board which will be shipped in January for the developers and from February to KS supporters. I don't know what are the differences between it and the first one.

Best Regards,
Marcell Nemes
several question for Revision B board:
[attachment=35]
what is the purpose of the soldering in orange circle?
what is the purpose of some empty connectors in red circle?

pink circle : is that really behind the AXP803 chip? i never see the back of any chip is that white  Rolleyes  will be it a problem? more static sensitive?
green circle : that is a nasty soldering job, I hoped its only at developer version.

Well, I can tell you that the items in the red circle are connectors for power and reset switches, and charging LEDs.
would be great if you can answer some of my questions..

The orange circle reserve for metal shield if necessary.
The red circle are for optional Power/Reset push buttons, and LED indicators
The pink circle is the AXP803 heat spread
The green circle soldering only happens on developer board during to hand soldering and this doesn't effect board quality. The production boards are machine wave solder and clean.
thanks

By default, there is no metal shield. If there is certain application, such as medical equipment, the metal shield may needed to further reduce EMI.
